I. Introductions were made and new members introduced.
II. LAN Party
- Oct 27th
- Time: TBA
- Location: Sarratt (all 3 levels) or FGH
- We are being sponsored by Digital Life and ITS, they are giving us a budget of $5000 per LAN Party
- We will have four tournaments:
-DDR
-Console (2x XBOX 360’s -> One will be a door prize), we will play GhostRecon
-PC (FFA game of Quake 4)
-PC (4v4 team games of CounterStrike: Source)
- The possibility of LAN Party t-shirts was discussed
- The options for LAN Party food was discussed
-The Pub will cater inside Sarratt for ~$1000
III. Web Design Classes
- Any interest?
- We need to find designers, graphic artists, and Photoshop people -Contact your friends! They will be paid!

- Middle Easters Student Association
- Vanderbilt.edu webpage?

- Voting System
V. Elections
- Interhall:
-Sept. 10th (Freshman elections)
-Sept. 14th (Upperclassmen elections)
- SGA:
-Sept. 19th (Primaries)
-Sept. 26th (Finals)
- Alumni
VI. VandyCS Game Server
- ITS will give us bandwidth if we provide the server
- We are planning to buy a new server (~$1300), this purchase depends on the current budget
VII. Recruitment
- Engineering School Fair (contact Burgess Mitchell)
- Sept. 15th, Venue Night
-Arcade gaming (LAN Party promo -> console games)
VIII. Gaming Night
- Tuesday nights
- Every other Tuesday: CS: Source
- Alternating Tuesdays: any other game
IX. Action Items Before Next Meeting
- Work on moving VandyCS to an official Engineering Student Group
- Formulate tentative operating budget
- Work on VandyCS Constitution

I actually wanted to comment; the budget is $5000 -total-, not per LAN party. My mistake. So the budget from ITS for this LAN is $2500.
