New LAN Date
Hey guys,
The LAN date has been updated! LAN for Fall 2009 will be held on Nov. 6th! It’s a bit late, but was the best option we had to work around breaks and other events.
Thanks,
Hamy

Hey all,
We are excited about the upcoming year, and can’t wait to see how this unfolds! To get things started, here is a quick list of ideas we have had for the upcoming year:
-Put in possible gaming server
-Put in gaming intercom
-Informal coding competition
-Revamp the website, throw away a lot of old material. Perhaps buy a custom theme?
-Top Coder Presentation (with local IEEE branch)
-Freshman recruitment
-The Hacker Consortium
-Have web page automagically update from posts to ListServ (maybe two way)
-Student/Faculty presentations
-Fair/showcase for the freshmen and at our first meeting to interest them in CS/CE/EE (Raffi mentioned getting SAE involved)
-Sweet presentation video for the student org fair (Ben said he could put it together)
-What can we do over the summer for anyone interested in coding? Perhaps they could help on the EECE projects, or try to do them and make sure the level of difficulty was manageable?
Also, we will meet sometime after next week is over and done with to wrap up! Chris would like to get a date set for the next LAN, so we can inform sponsors over the summer!
Thanks,
Hamy
