Game setup

1v1 tournament, double elimination.
The rounds will be played with the following series of maps:

Lost Temple
Luna
Longinus

And will repeat as many times as necessary, depending on the size
of the bracket. The official maps to be used at the tournament will
be observer maps (to facilitate observing in the final rounds), and
will only be released at the tournament (the maps may be uniquely marked,
to ensure that another map is not being used; this is to make sure that a
hacked or broken map is not used during tournament play.

The only observers allowed in a match will be controlled by the tournament bosses.

Game speed: fastest

Rules

Intentional use of game bugs is not allowed, and may result in a disqualification, at the
discretion of the boss.

No external programs, including broodwar launcher, may be used during tournament
play. This includes chat or voice chat applications.

All players must be responsible for their own computer; hardware or software failures
which result in a prematurely ending game will be forfeited by the party on whose end
the failure occured, unless the other party agrees to a rematch.

All network connections must be hardwired.

In the case of network failure, NEVER click "drop player". Alert a tournament boss if this
occurs.

To mediate game bug or other disputes, professional tournament rules may be consulted. A possibly
incomplete list of disallowed game bugs can be found here:
http://www.wcg.com/6th/2008/games/rulePDF_GF/WCG2008_GF_SC_Rules_ver_1.0.pdf

In the case that a delay of game is suspected (generally, a game lasting over an hour and
where neither player is actively pursuing victory), the bosses may force faster gameplay. This
will be exercised only in extreme cases.

The tournament bosses reserve the right to disqualify players on the grounds of other behaviour
deemed cheating or disruptive, at their sole discretion.

Post match

All replays MUST be saved by each party and run through bwchart upon completion of the match.
Any actions identified as a hack will be reviewed and will likely result in disqualification.

Upon the request of either party, the tournament manager will review the replay to
look for evidence of unfair play. Challenges must be brought to the attention
of the boss immediately after the match has ended.
